On 19 January 2019 Alan Kennedy once again utilised the ‘shed’ at the bottom of his garden to present the oxygen management course to 6 club members. For Jane & Lauren this was their first attendance and a refresher for Tim, Charlie, Andrew & Jenny. As usual this was a really informative day, with Alan adding a number of extra elements to the BSAC syllabus and after the O2 test (passed by all participants!) he presented his Defib workshop.
The morning was theory, then a great lunch, followed by the practical sessions and test in the afternoon.
As always, we all came away feeling that we had learnt something new and it reminded us how important it is to keep up-to-date with such skills and practice them. The club recommends every member takes the course every couple of years. Alan is presenting another course in March and there are still spaces.
Alan will be running our annual Defib practical on Tuesday 26 February and again all members are encouraged to attend.
Grateful thanks to Alan who puts so much into these courses – it really is appreciated.
